But people are still mending their broken hearts over the fact that their favorite show has ended.

Sheldon and Amy were fan favorite characters.

Especially Sheldon, who men seemed to flock to because of his love for all things geek.

Plus, the relationship that blossomed between the two was a major win for fans.

NBC

They were so happy to see Sheldon finally get with someone that he loved!

And now they'll be coming together in a new sitcom!

NBC

So great ready for the witty writings and amazing laughs (which we all desperately need).

Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn had this to say:

NBC

"In pursuing a hand-crafted approach to our scripted development, [Fox Entertainment CEO] Charlie [Collier] and I knew ‘Carla’, written by Darlene Hunt, was a project with great potential that could become the centerpiece of our comedy slate."

He continued with:

NBC

"Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik coming to Fox Entertainment is obviously an enormous part of that equation."

Jim Parsons is not set to appear, but they'll still be working together.

They'll be executive producing together, and who knows, maybe he'll guest star.

Thorn also added:

NBC

“‘Carla’ is an unapologetically big, broad multicam with a strong female point-of-view, pushing the format in a way that will be distinctive,”

And finished with:

NBC

“With the A+ creative team, our partners at Warner Bros., led by the inimitable Peter Roth, and BBC Studios, we think we have something truly special here.”

'Carla' will be airing on FOX, but it's based off a BBC series.

NBC

Mayim Bialik will be playing a woman struggling with her everyday life, her family, and her own happiness.
