Christian Bale Told Robert Pattinson To Play ‘Batman’ He Has To "Be Able To Pee" By Himself

W... What? Is it because he's young? Or is there something about Robert Pattinson that Christian knows and the rest of us don't?

Really, Christian, that is a very strange thing to say.

So Robert Pattinson is our new Batman.

And people have a lot of thoughts on the matter, both good and bad.

All because of Twilight.

Seriously, look at his other films, he's actually a phenomenal actor.

IMDb

He puts a lot of work into his films and I bet if you watch one of his indie films, you'll love him.

But anyway!

Some people are overwhelmingly supportive.

Which is amazing because I'm sure Robert Pattinson thought he was going to get nothing but backlash.

Some people are, of course, unhappy.

Basically, they want him out and are mad he was ever chosen in the first place.

Which is a little much, in my opinion.

Most of the tweets seem to fall under one line though.

Which is: Don't talk badly about a performance before you've even seen it.

We haven't even gotten a trailer for crying out loud!

Thankfully, Robert Pattinson's friends are very supportive of him.

Including Kristen Stewart, who thinks he's perfect for the role.

Good on you, K-Stew.

Christian Bale, who we all know as Bruce Wayne from the Christopher Nolan 'Dark Knight' trilogy, had one piece of advice for him:

DC

Make sure you're able to pee by yourself.

Christian Bale was at TIFF this year and was asked what he thought of Robert Pattinson as Batman.

DC

He said it was great, and of course, said the line you read in the title.

And he meant it very literally.

He also added, "You don't feel like much of a superhero when you can't take a piss by yourself".

It makes you wonder what happened on those Nolan trilogy sets...

Here's the actual clip:

So you can watch Christian Bale do his thing in all his Christian Bale glory.

Seriously, he seems like a really funny dude despite all of the rumors and tapes about him being not so cool.

What do you think about the casting?

Personally, I think it's a great casting choice. We need a fresh and young Bruce.
