Like the one we had today that explains the origins of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, the super (and super old) duo from Spongebob Squarepants.
Of course, the theory came from Reddit.
It states that the two of them were Navy divers.

And where could they have been diving? Oh, just in Bikini Atoll. Where they did a bunch of nuclear testing in the '40s.
So the two of them were caught in the blasts, shrunk down to the sizes of the other characters and now live alongside them.
