Sure, lots of folks get a kick out of decorating for Christmas, but is there any event as downright fun to throw yourself into as Halloween?

So, good news, you can find just the thing: stoneware skulls that are specifically intended to sit in your fireplace and creep out all your guests.
They can take the heat as flames lick and play around them, and even come up through the mouth and eyes in some models. If that doesn't get your guests talking, I don't know what will.
Spirit Halloween, for example, has a two-pack of skulls for a mere $35. Over on Amazon, a single skull will run you up to $60, but they're a bit bigger and weightier, and come in a wider variety of colors and shapes.
And considering that they'll last you for years, it might just be a good investment.
