Busy Philipps Slammed Trolls Who Shamed Her Body On Instagram

Busy Philipps may have a daughter and a booming career as an actress and TV show host, but she's never too busy to handle the trolls that come her way.

Namely, the body-shaming trolls who attacked her recent Instagram post.

Busy Philipps is never too busy to shut down her body-shaming haters.

In the past — and now present — the actress/TV show host has dealt with her fair share of them.

In 2017, there was a very awkward encounter with a fan who had some unsolicited things to say about her body.

It was in her Instagram story that she recalled what happened.

"She was so sweet and had such a calming manner and in a loveliest way, she said, ‘You’ve lost some of your plumpness from Cougar Town. You look nice still, but you’ve lost some of your plumpness.’"

Even though what she said was technically a compliment, Busy didn't appreciate the word "plump."

“It was a compliment. She was very sweet when she said it. It just was an interesting choice of [words],” Philipps went on to say.

“I don’t think I was plump."

“There’s no way to really handle it in the moment without coming off like an [expletive],” she added.

“So you just have to say, ‘Oh, I’m glad you liked the show’ and moved on.”

Beyond just speaking out on body positivity, the actress has even began to model that behavior.

Literally.

This year, the 39-year-old became one of the unretouched models for Aerie's ad campaigns.

Posing alongside fellow actresses, Jameela Jamil and Samira Wiley, Busy said the campaign changed how she viewed herself.

“I wish I had seen images of different women’s bodies in media when I was growing up,” she said.

“I wish I hadn’t been sold the lie that to achieve true happiness I needed a flat tummy and no hips so I could look like a model in an ad.”

So with all the good Busy has been doing in the body positivity community, it was a real shame when trolls recently attacked her body on Instagram.

The shaming comments occurred on this image she posted right before Labour Day.

She captioned it: "Get. That. Holiday. Weekend."

While there were a ton of celebratory comments from fans excited about the long weekend ahead, two trolls had some words.

Busy is clearly too "busy" to deal with his hate. So, she sent him on his way with an epic reply:

“Then I have some FANTASTIC NEWS FOR YOU!” she wrote. “You can UNFOLLOW ME AND NEVER LOOK AT IT AGAIN!”

**insert all the hand-clapping emojis as possible here**

Yass, Queen!

She sent another commenter packing when they decided to comment on her weight.

Once again, Busy clapped back.

She wrote: "Bro. BRO. No. Absolutely not, sir. KEEP MOVING. BYEEEEEEEEEE.”

While some people actually defended the last commenter by saying he was just complimenting her, this fan's explanation summed up exactly why it was so uncalled for:

Busy would be so proud!

Besides, Busy has made it clear in the past that no one should be commenting on another person's body.

"You know how when you’re a woman, sometimes people feel like they should be able to comment about your body all the time or make laws about your body?" she wrote.

She went on to say that body-shaming is even harder in the entertainment industry.

"Well when you’re an actress or any female in the public eye, everyone feels that they can comment on your body all the [expletive] time. Always."

“I think it’s a good thing to err on the side of ‘Let’s not talk to people about their bodies unless they bring it up first and they want to talk about their bodies."

Given what she wrote, it's clear why she told that guy to peace out.

In the end, Busy's just keeping it real as she continues to fight for everyone to be and feel accepted just as they are.

So if any troll has anything else to say, in the wise words of Busy Philipps: BYEEEEEEEEEE.
