New On-Set Pics From 'Cruella' Shows Emma Stone Looking So Different

Cruella de Vil is an iconic Disney villain, not just for her desire to, uh, repurpose dalmatian puppies into some sleek chic fur coats, but for her style. That black and white hair! That giant fur coat! That long cigarette holder! The red gloves!

When we heard that Emma Stone was going to be taking on the iconic villainness for a live-action film, we were pretty excited, but the latest on-set pics are painting a VERY unexpected picture.

In case you need a refresher on Cruella, this is her from '101 Dalmatians.'

Aside from her being a good twenty years older than Emma Stone, this is pretty much what we expect Cruella to look like in the new movie. However...

This on-set shot shows a VERY different kind of Cruella.

This version of Cruella has bright red hair! It's a bold move from Disney to take probably the most well-known feature of the character and flip it to something so different!

Apparently, though, this is just for the flashbacks to a younger Cruella's life.

She won't be rocking the firetruck red locks for the whole movie, just for when we see her younger days. It does make me wonder whether the red or the black is her natural color, though. Give me answers, Disney!

We have this picture of Emma as the more recognizable version of Cruella.

She's missing the white coat, red gloves, and fancy cigarette holder, but that two-tone hair couldn't be more obvious.

What do you think of the new look for a young Cruella? Are you excited for the live-action movie? Let us know!
