Ani Achola, who is played by Grace Saif.
She "replaces" Hannah Baker who was the narrator for two seasons. And fans hate her. Literally just for narrating a show.
Anne Winters, who plays Chloe Rice, came to her defense when she saw that fans were reacting badly to her appearance.

“I think her role was very important this season,” she said. "And Ani is amazing. Grace who plays Ani is like the sweetest girl ever. I really loved her character this season.”
Timothy Granaderos, who plays Monty also made a statement on Instagram.
He encouraged people to be kind and show respect to all of those who work on the show.
