'Zoey 101' Star Jamie Lynn Spears Throws Major Shade At 'Lizzie McGuire' Reboot Announcement

When I was growing up, I wanted to be Lizzie McGuire more than anything in the entire world. Then I wanted to be Zoey from Zoey 101. I think those were admirable goals to have — feisty, quirky, funny, smart girls who had great friends and interesting lives.

Now, my inner tween is suffering, because it turns out that Lizzie and Zoey are enemies.

Well, okay, not quite.

If you've somehow missed the announcement of the century, 'Lizzie McGuire' is being revived for Disney+.

Hilary Duff will be reprising her iconic role as Lizzie herself, all grown up, as announced on her Instagram page earlier this week and at the D23 Expo.

People all over the world have been celebrating.

Including me, who is in the process of swapping my Netflix subscription out for a Disney+ one as we speak.

Not everyone is happy though — enter Jamie Lynn Spears, star of Zoey 101.

Jamie Lynn shared her reaction to the news with a video on her Instagram page, which featured the intro sequence to Lizzie McGuire being interrupted by footage of Zoey herself as Justin Bieber's song 'That Should Be Me' plays in the background.

Okay, so she was probably joking. But Jamie Lynn has made it clear: she would LOVE to do a 'Zoey 101' reboot.

When rumors flew about a reboot to the show last month, Zoey responded by sharing this headline with the caption, "Yo, @nickelodeon have your people call my people #Zoey101."

What if we didn't just get a reboot of both series — what if we got a crossover?!
