Plane Forced To Turn Around After Mom Forgets Baby At Airport

Some moms are so overwhelmed with life and responsibilities of parenthood that they get a bit forgetful at times. Until you've been a parent, it's hard to understand how exhaustion can impact your memory.

Some moms make little mistakes, like forgetting to turn off the TV or forgetting bathtime.

Little mistakes and instances that we can brush off and chalk up to being forgetful.

But, sometimes parents are so overwhelmed they make huge mistakes.

Luckily, this story has a happy ending but it could have been much worse.

One mom made a colossal mistake so bad, an entire airplane had to turn around after take-off.

One mom on a recent flight from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia apparently realized she had forgotten her child in the airport after boarding a plane — yup, you read that right.

While it sounds like an impossible story—traveling with kids can be pretty complicated.

Having to lug around your bags, and chase your kids around a crowded airport can be difficult.

No one wants to be that person making the entire plane wait.

Mix-ups happen.

While some parents are saying that they can't imagine forgetting their kids in an airport, luckily, the story has a happy ending.

According to "Newsweek," the mom realized after the plane had already taken off.

The pilot called in to check if they can come back for the woman's child.

This video on YouTube captured the pilot's call with air traffic control.

He said, “May God be with us. Can we come back or what? This flight is requesting to come back… a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”

Air traffic control let the plane come back so the woman could be reunited with her little one.

Although the situation was extreme, the pilot made sure she could go back.

The plane was brought back to King Abdulaziz International Airport.

Of course, passengers weren't too happy to have to turn back around. But, thankfully, the mom found her child.

For all of you parents judging —don't forget this happened TWICE with Kevin McCallister..

Once when going to Paris, once in New York City. It happens!
