Parents Rejoice! 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' Has Dethroned 'Let It Go'

So you say you've had your fill of Frozen? That you're liable to break your TV if your kid forces you to listen to "Let It Go" just one more time? Well, parents — your prayers have been answered!

After nearly a decade of being hailed as the greatest Disney song of the new millennium, Encanto has done the impossible, dethroning Frozen's "Let It Go" as the highest-charting Disney Song in more than 26 years!

When it comes to making Oscar-winning animated features, Disney remains undefeated.

These days, it feels as if everyone else is just playing for second place. Not only does the iconic animation studio know how to craft an incredible story, but they can also compose an incredible score/theme as well.

You could even make the argument that the most beloved Disney movies of all time are known equally or more so for their music.

What would Aladdin be without "A Whole New World"? Can you even imagine The Lion King without "Can You Feel The Love Tonight"?

A great Disney song can even rescue a bad Disney movie. Case in point — 'Frozen'.

I can literally hear the trolls furiously typing their mean retorts to my bold statement, even as I sit writing this sentence. However, it doesn't make it any less true. Without "Let It Go", Frozen is largely forgettable.

However, as millennial parents all over the world will attest — "Let It Go" most definitely is not.

It's the song most beloved by children, and in turn — most despised by parents. No matter how much time passed, it seemed as if "Let It Go" would be around forever. That is, until Encanto came to town.

Not even two full months after its theatrical release, 'Encanto' has slayed the giant with a new unforgettable earworm — "We Don't Talk About Bruno".

Lin-Manuel Miranda has pulled yet another rabbit from his hat, crafting the biggest musical hit that Disney has seen in more than 26 years.

Currently, "We Don't Talk About Bruno" sits at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"We Don't Talk About Bruno" accomplished this feat after racking up 29 million streams and 8000 downloads. For comparison's sake, Frozen's "Let It Go" ascended no higher than the Top 5.

As it stands right now, "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is tied for the second-highest ranking Disney song.

Right now, Encanto shares the record with Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from The Lion King and Vanessa Williams' "Colors Of The Wind" from Pocahontas — both of which also rose to the #4 rank.

In fact, the only song to ever chart higher was Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle’s "A Whole New World" from 'Aladdin'.

No matter how many years go by or how much time passes, this song will forever and always be a banger. It has transcended generations and remains as impactful today as it was back then.

'Encanto' is also making headlines after becoming only the sixth animated soundtrack to top the Billboard 200 ranking!

Earlier this week, it fell back down to earth, nestling comfortably in the #3 spot. The film's popularity is also reflected in the box office numbers, earning $93.1 million domestically and $222.6 million internationally.

Personally, I don't really understand what all the fuss is about.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that "We Don't Talk About Bruno" shares a lot of musical similarities with Camila Cabello and Young Thug's "Havana". But then again, I wasn't a fan of Frozen — so what do I know?

Regardless, I'm sure parents everywhere are elated over the prospect of being tortured with a brand new Disney song.

I mean, isn't anything better than listening to "Let It Go" for the 1 billionth time?! Something eventually had to give, and "We Don't Talk About Bruno" seems to be the lever to move mountains. All I can say is enjoy it while you can.
