Olivia Culpo Was Asked To 'Cover Up' At The Airport Before Being Allowed On The Plane

There is nothing that boils my blood more than dress codes. Sure, don't show up somewhere naked, but other than that I really don't care what people wear. Of course, it goes without saying that these clothing rules mostly apply to women and children, because sending a kid home for the width of their spaghetti strap is far more important than that young girl learning, right?

I'm sure you can feel my eyes rolling right now.

I have arrived for a flight in a wide variety of outfits — sweatpants, leggings, yoga clothes — something that I feel comfortable in!

I have never been ridiculed for my outfit, though, and I can't imagine the humiliation of being called out by an airport employee for my outfit.

Sadly, that's what happened to former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo this past weekend just before she boarded an American Airlines flight.

The 29-year-old model's sister Aurora Culpo said that airline employees asked her sister to "cover-up" before boarding their flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Thursday.

"Olivia and I are going to Cabo and look at her outfit," Aurora said, pointing the camera to her supermodel sister, who was wearing a long black cardigan, sports bra and biker shorts.

"She looks cute. She looks appropriate. No. They call her up to the desk and tell her that she needs to put a blouse on, otherwise she can't get on the plane," she explained in the clip.

"Tell me is that not so [explective] up," she added.

Thankfully, Olivia was able to grab her boyfriend's sweater and was therefore allowed on the plane.

Of course, people had differing opinions on the situation but most agreed that the call out was ridiculous.

"She is allowed to wear what she wants to wear," tweeted one suppoerter. "It's nobody's business how she dresses. We have more pressing matters in the world to discuss."

"She was heading to a beach location. I think she looked fine. Totally ridiculous," said another.
