Snoop Dogg Plans To Launch His Own Hot Dog Brand Aptly Named 'Snoop Doggs'

Over the years, we've seen Snoop Dogg wear many hats.

He's a rapper, an actor, a close friend of Martha Stewart's, and a seller of cannabis, gin, cookbooks. Now, the hip-hop legend has begun the legal filings to launch his own brand of hot dogs called "Snoop Doggs" — six years after swearing he would never eat a hot dog again in his life.

It's no secret that when it comes to Snoop Dogg, we should all expect the unexpected.

While music was his first area of professional success, the rap icon has branched out in several directions, proving himself to be quite the businessman.

Developed by the "Gin & Juice" rapper himself, Indoggo Gin, has been almost as big of a hit.

Indoggo is gluten-free, sugar-free, low-calorie, created in California, where the 50-year-old is from, and coolest of all, it's purple.

The "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper also has his hands in the cannabis industry.

Like several other celebrities including Seth Rogen, Jay-Z, Tommy Chong, and Trixie Garcia, Snoop Dogg has his own line of cannabis — which is arguably unsurprising, since he has been a advocate for the substance throughout his entire career.

Leafs by Snoop was first unveiled in Colorado back in 2015. Since then, the company has become a leading contender in the cannabis industry.

On top of music, gin, and cannabis, Snoop Dogg has also released his own cookbook and has routinely made appearances on cooking shows alongside Martha Stewart.

This brings us to his latest endeavour: hot dogs.

Despite formerly declaring he would never eat a hot dog six years ago, this new business plan seems very on-brand for Snoop considering his evident love for cooking.

Back in a 2016 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live", the rapper found out the less-than-appetizing way that hot dogs are made.

If you don't already know, I'll spare you the graphic details. In summary, his reaction was completely justified.

"If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good," he added.

However, it was recently revealed that Snoop Dogg's attorney filed to have the brand's name, "Snoop Doggs" patented.

The filing, unfortunately, skimped out sharing too many details about the business as it's still in the beginning stages.

But Snoop does intend on officially launching the brand eventually, and selling hot dogs as well as other types of sausages.

Naturally, fans have found this all very amusing.

"The man does not stop hustling. This is an insane idea but you have to respect it lmao," one Instagram user wrote.

Others find it ironic that Snoop will presumably be making money off of a type of food that he's been visibly disgusted by.

"Didn’t he see a video of how they’re made and was absolutely disgusted? Lmao," someone else commented via Instagram, while another added: "Love how he's about to be making a [expletive] ton of money off of a food item he actually finds disgusting LOL."

Snoop has yet to comment on his alleged plans to start a hot dog business.
