Girl Gets Hilarious Revenge After Landlord Tours Her Apartment Without Asking

It seems that more often than not, you're likely to hear your friends complain about their landlords if they mention them at all.

But while their stories may have some traits in common, there are enough ways that the landlord-tenant relationship can go wrong that they won't necessarily sound the same.

Sure, most of these complaints tend to boil down to rent rates. But it's also pretty common to hear about a lack of maintenance on people's apartments and iffy reasons that some have tried to keep a tenant's security deposit.

But an issue that tends not to get brought up as much are landlords who don't seem to respect the privacy of their tenants and enter their apartments without any prior discussions.

And as we'll soon see, this is often done to show those places off to any prospective renters. But in one humorous case, this practice seemed to backfire pretty spectacularly.

Be advised that the video featured in this article contains explicit language

On December 13, a young woman named Taylor uploaded a TikTok in which her landlord notified her that he'd be showing someone her apartment the next morning.

Since that was the extent of the discussion he had with her about the matter, she was less than impressed that he didn't check to see whether any part of that was OK with her.

According to legal information website Justia, landlords are often required to provide 24 or 48 hours' notice before entering an apartment for this purpose. However, the legal interpretation of what's considered "reasonable" notice can also vary from state to state.

But regardless of whether Taylor could fight this decision, she had a different idea altogether.

Instead, she decided to make that visit as awkward for the landlord and as unappealing for the visitor as possible.

As you'll see in the full video, her first and arguably biggest step in this campaign was to give every appearance through notes and product placement that the apartment had a serious roach problem.

Next, she placed an array of products in the bathroom to make the apartment seem truly lived-in.

Alongside the tampons you see here, she also put down a bottle of vaginal suppositories and stated in a caption that she would do the same thing with her diva cup.

Of course, how well this works depends a lot on how squeamish either of her visitors are about periods.

She also left a note for herself to buy hemorrhoid cream, despite not having that problem.

But for her final act of revenge, Taylor decided to get particularly creative.

As she wrote in another caption, "Guess I'm a witch and a [expletive] now."

By that, she meant she googled a revenge spell to give the impression that she's been practicing witchcraft.

So now, I guess that landlord is going to have to bank on the possibility that their guest isn't turned off by cockroaches or afraid of curses.

I'm not loving the odds on that one, frankly.
