Nick Cannon announced on his show Tuesday morning that his youngest son, 5-month-old Zen, died of brain cancer.

The 41-year-old father of seven shared how he and his family discovered their baby was battling a form of brain cancer, and Hydrocephalus, as reported by ET.

As per Mayo Clinic, Hydrocephalus "is the buildup of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain."

"The excess fluid increases the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on the brain."

"I always noticed he had a cough and so I wanted to check it out," Nick explained on his show Tuesday morning.

"He had this interesting breathing and by the time he was two months I noticed he had this nice sized head too — a Cannon head. We didn’t think anything of it."

"But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine."

He revealed his son's health had taken a turn for the worst over Thanksgiving weekend.

"This weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen," he explained.

"We woke up on Sunday and went to the ocean with him and Alyssa and then I had to fly back to New York for the show."

"I got a call on my way to the airport to head back to Zen."

Nick then shared that he held his son for the last time this past weekend while surrounded by family.

Fans have taken to social media to send their thoughts to Nick and Zen's mom Alyssa Scott during this incredibly difficult time.

This is an unbelievable loss, and our hearts go out to all of those who loved baby Zen.
