Dwayne Johnson Gives His Custom Truck Away To Navy Veteran In Powerful Video

For the most part, people know Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as one of the rare few who could make the transition from a wrestling superstar to the Hollywood juggernaut he's since become.

But as we can glean from his statements and actions in recent years, that doesn't come close to summing up the impact he's seeking to make on the world.

In addition to motivating people to be their most driven and best selves, it seems he also wants to do his part to inspire the leaders of the future and give back to those who have done their part to make the world better.

And it's that motive in particular that has compelled him to give one fan who's done a lot for his community a powerful surprise.

On November 24, Johnson revealed that he had treated a group of fans to a free, catered screening of his new movie "Red Notice."

But as he posted on Instagram, he said that he wanted to find out as much as he could about the fans in attendance because he wanted to give one of them a much more overwhelming surprise.

As he put it, "My original idea was to give away the Porsche Taycan, that I drive in the movie, Red Notice. So we reached out to Porsche, but they said no."

Instead, Johnson decided that this special fan would receive his own personal truck loaded with custom modifications.

And as he found out more about the people who gathered together for his screening, one story would prove particularly moving for him.

He discovered that one of his fans is a personal trainer and Navy veteran who takes care of his 75-year-old mother, fills a leadership role at his local church, and provides support and meals for survivors of domestic violence.

That man's name is Oscar Rodriguez and Johnson felt that his kindness deserved even more than the reward he was about to give him.

In the full video, we can see that Johnson surprised the gathered fans with his appearance and brought Rodriguez to the front to recognize his good deeds.

And this was clearly already a special moment for Rodriguez, as he said, "I'm just speechless. I'm so glad to meet you, I feel so encouraged right now, so uplifted. I'm encouraged by your motivation."

But when he learned that Johnson was also giving him his truck, he immediately burst in tears.

It was clear this generosity overwhelmed him, as he screamed "What the heck is happening?" before pulling The Rock into a tight embrace.

To that, Johnson just assured him that he does a lot of good for people.

As he wrote in his Instagram post, "Oscar said it right, just before he drove away ~ it’s just love. That’s all it is, brother. Just love."

And throughout this video, Rodriguez makes it clear that he's just as passionate about spreading the love as Johnson is.

In his words, "And yeah, let's do it. Let's change the world, one person, at a time."
