Gordon Ramsay Claps Back After Daughter Tilly, 19, Gets Called 'Chubby' By Radio Host

Gordon Ramsay is known for being a stickler in the kitchen. His reactions to food, restaurants, and kitchen staff have been well documented on his hit TV shows like Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

However, anyone who has met the celebrity chef knows he's the really sweet guy in person, which is why it doesn't surprise me at all that he recently came to the defense of his 19-year-old daughter after she was bullied by a radio host.

Tily Ramsay has made a name for herself that far extends her father's shadow.

The 19-year-old is popular on social media for her videos which poke fun at her famous dad, Gordon Ramsay.

The young TV host has also made a name for herself presenting the BBC cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch alongside her family.

Most recently, Tilly has been competing on the BBC dance show, "Strictly Come Dancing."

If you haven't been watching, Tilly has been absolutely crushing it with her partner Nikita Kuzmin!

Earlier this week, however, one British radio host decided to try to rain on Tilly's dance parade by body shaming her.

67-year-old radio presenter Steve Allen insulted the teen's dance skills before calling her chubby.

"Well, she can’t blimming well dance, I’m bored with her already," Steve remarked.

"She’s a chubby little thing, isn’t she? Have you noticed? Probably her dad’s [Gordon] cooking, I should imagine."

Gross, right? Well, Tilly handled it in a much more mature, and composed way than I would have at her age.

Taking to her Instagram, the 19-year-old wrote: "I try not to read and listen to comments and negativity however recently being called out on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far," she wrote.

"Steve, please feel free to voice your opinions, however I draw the line at commenting on my appearance," Tilly added.

"This isn’t the first and definitely won’t be the last comment made about my appearance and I accept that and I’m learning to accept myself. But please remember that words can hurt and at the end of the day I am only 19."

She continued:

"I’m so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I have been able to take part in, and I understand that being in the public eye obviously comes with repercussions, and I’ve been aware of this from a young age."

Gordon has now spoken out in support of his daughter and her mature response to such hateful remarks.

"It made me feel very proud that she stood up and said, ‘I’m not taking this,'” Gordon said on Instagram Live, as per Joe.

"She is 19 years of age for goodness’ sake – busting her [explective] off and attending university by Zoom and learning the most extraordinary moves with Nikita."

"I think it was a breath of fresh air that level of standing up and saying, ‘We’re not going to tolerate that.'"

Gordon wasn't the only one who was impressed by Tilly's response.

TOWIE star and UK socialite Gemma Collins also praised the 19-year-old on her podcast.

"I don’t want to give oxygen to those making nasty remarks but I do want to say that I was impressed by Tilly’s gracious response on social media, especially as I’ve faced not very nice comments myself in the past," the reality start said, as per The Sun

"I sent Tilly a private message and a voice note. Me and [my nephew] Hayden messaged her the next day," she continued.

"She is absolutely wonderful that girl. Shaming people about their weight and how they look is very very bad. Tilly Ramsay is beautiful how she is," Gemma added.

It's clear the whole world is on Tilly's side, as they should be! Way to go, Miss Ramsay!
