Daniel Craig Claims He Prefers Gay Bars For More Than Just The Lack Of ‘Fights’

Daniel Craig recently revealed in an interview that he is much more fond of heading to gay clubs over "hetero bars."

Craig discussed why he prefers gay bars in a podcast while promoting his final outing as Bond, No Time To Die — with the main reason apparently being the lack of "aggressive dick swinging" in gay bars.

Craig was quoted as saying, "I've been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember."

"One of the reasons," Craig continued, "[is] because I don't get into fights in gay bars that often."

According to the Daily Mail, Craig added, "the aggressive dick swinging in hetero bars, I just got very sick of as a kid because it was like, 'I just don't wanna end up being in a punch up.' And I did, [quite] a lot."

The Bond star also prefers the "chill" atmosphere and not having to worry about stating his sexuality.

"Everybody was chill. Everybody, you didn't really sort of have to state your sexuality," he explained.

Craig has been married to fellow actor Rachel Weisz for over a decade now, but used to head out to gay bars before they were together.

Apparently, they were a much better environment to meet women.

Craig joked in the interview, "It was okay and it was a very safe place to be. And I could meet girls there 'cause there were a lot of girls who were there for exactly the same reason I was there. So I was, there was kind of, you know, there was an ulterior motive."

Craig was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

The departing Bond also grabbed people's attention when he explained that he had shared a kiss with No Time To Die costar Rami Malek as a way to "break the ice," in an interview with Stephen Colbert.

His statements about his bar preference have been received largely positively.

"OK, the last bit is a tad gross, but who amongst us hasn't taken a straight friend to a gay bar who's ended up pulling,"wrote The Glue.

I am sure that it doesn't matter what bar Craig goes to, so long as they serve him a decent vodka martini...although, he's probably sick of those by now, right?
