The McPlant has just been rolled out as part of a trial period to selected McDonald's restaurants across the UK, with a view to make the new vegan burger available across many more stores should the trial period prove successful!
However, while many have embraced the idea of a McDonald's vegan option, there has also been some push back.
The McPlant will now give vegans and vegetarians the opportunity to bite into an authentic McDonald's burger.
In a statement, McDonald's said that this will be a "A burger for everyone," and claimed that it "will appeal to all burger lovers."
The McPlant has been described by McDonald's as "an impressive build including a delicious plant-based patty, bespoke vegan cheese and vegan sandwich sauce."
Some people who have sampled the burger joked that it was just as tasty yet unappetising as a regular McDonald's burger.
At present, McDonald's have planned to make the McPlant available at all UK restaurants in January 2022.
The burger is also said to be prepared separately from other burgers and has been "fully accredited as vegan by the Vegetarian Society to ensure it meets the highest vegan standards."

While not many have been able to sample the exclusive burger as yet, there is a lot of push for the burger to become a staple of the McDonald's menu. Some meat-lovers have even been converted thus far.
