Police Assure Public That Mysterious Highway Sign Won’t Lead To Squid Game

You have probably seen that Squid Game is absolutely everywhere at the moment — and if you haven't heard of Squid Game before then I am genuinely impressed.

However, one local police department recently had to share a delightful little statement to warn people that a sign on one highway was nothing to do with Squid Game, as people were keen to give it a follow.

TVP Roads Policing issued their light-hearted statement earlier this week.

A sign that had appeared on the M4, Junction 5 in Slough (UK) had motorists convinced that it may be something to do with the popular TV Netflix TV show as it had a triangle, a square, and a circle upon it.

TVP Roads Policing clarified, "It's just directions for diversion routes during the roadworks…phew!"

There were some drivers who were already aware that these symbols are commonly used to direct HGV drivers.

However, it really would have taken some of the allure out of the Squid Game if it turned out it was on the M4 just outside Slough.

Some people were kind of bummed out by the fact that it was just a diversion.

Yes, there were some quite deflated individuals who claimed that they would prefer to be a part of Squid Game over being sat in traffic — is traffic really that bad though?

Most drivers will just have to face sitting in traffic for the time being.

Squid Game recently passed 111 million viewers, making it Netflix's biggest series launch.

However, for those of you living in Slough, UK, you'll have to go a bit further than just down the M4 to take part!
