Man Sues Psychic For Allegedly Charging Over $5,000 To Lift Ex-Girlfriend’s Curse

Many people turn to the advice of a psychic when they are experiencing a bit of a rough patch, and this idea can yield a very wide variety of results depending upon your general outlook.

However, one man has been suing his fortune teller after receiving, what he considers to be, less than ideal service.

Mauro Restrepo is suing his psychic for fraud following her "assistance."

Restrepo is claiming that the Palos Verdes Estates psychic made false promises about being able to help his current marriage if he paid her $5,100 in order to lift a curse that he was under.

The curse was supposedly placed by one of his ex girlfriends.

Sophia Adams and her business, Psychic Love Specialist by Sophia, are named amongst the defendants by Mauro Restrepo's Torrance Superior Court lawsuit, according to Fox.

Also included in the lawsuit are Adams' husband, daughter, and landlords for failing to intervene when it came to stopping her misguide the public.

Mauro Restrepo is apparently seeking $25,000 in damages.

Restrepo has reportedly found Adams by Googling for psychics — they use Google like the rest of us, not some fourth dimensional search engine.

Restrepo reached out to Adams and, when the pair finally met, she told him that he was under the influence of "mala suerte," or "bad luck," the lawsuit asserts.

"This bad luck was, according to [Adams], placed on [Restrepo] by a witch hired by his ex-girlfriend," the suit goes on to claim.

For $5,100 Adams supposedly offered to remove the curse, without which Restrepo and his family would never be happy.

Restrepo paid Adams a downpayment of $1000, Fox reports, although this did not succeed in helping his marriage:

"Despite [Adams'] promises, [she] did not in any way help [Restrepo's] marriage."

In fact, Restrepo apparently suffered from anxiousness and insomnia as a result of Adams' meddling.

I always thought that being haunted by your ex meant receiving unwanted texts when they are drunk at 2am, not them placing an actual curse on you! Hopefully, Restrepo will be free from both his curse and the anguish caused by this situation soon enough.
