'Scream' Fans Can Relive The Movie By Renting The Party House On Airbnb

Do you like scary movies? No, really, do you? Specifically Scream and all its sequels? If so, I might have your dream accommodation lined up.

The Scream franchise is opening a limited Airbnb rental for the house the original film took place in. Designed to be an in-universe experience, guests can expect some spooky encounters as they enjoy Scream themed treats.

As October begins, so does the spookiest of seasons.

Autumn is in full swing and Halloween is fast approaching, meaning it's prime time for pumpkin-themed decor, the coziest of sweaters, and, most importantly, scary movies.

One horror movie franchise is going all out this Halloween with a special Airbnb rental.

The *Scream* franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

There's also an upcoming edition to the franchise, titled simply Scream, set to release in early 2022. In honor of both of these things, a limited Airbnb rental will be available in the house from the first film, complete with extra goodies.

When I say limited, I mean limited. The rental will only be available to book the nights of October 27, 29, and 31.

The house is in Northern California, and hopes to transport its guests back to 1996.

The stay will begin with a virtual greeting from Dave Arquette as Dewey Riley, the character who seemingly wrote the Airbnb listing as well, as he says the greeting will take place only if Ghostface doesn't catch him first.

The house features movie-accurate details that guests are free to explore to their heart's content.

And what would a stay like this be without some entertainment?

All four Scream films will be available to watch on VHS so the guests can have a full marathon. The pantry will be stocked with '90s era snacks too, like Jiffy-Pop and ice cream with Reddi-whip.

The listing also cites a 'dedicated phone line' that one can call to talk to Ghostface. "[But] watch out," it reads, "He might just call the house, too."

There are a few added bonuses, too.

Guests will be given a goodie bag full of Scream memorabilia, including posters, a DVD box set, and more.

In partnership with this event, Airbnb is also making a donation to Ween Dream, a charity that provides children in need with free Halloween costumes.

Riley signs off the listing with this.

"I’ll give you my best tips to survive the night, but if Ghostface has anything to say about it, there will be no shortage of haunts and happenings."

The bookings open on October 12, though they're likely to go quick. If you're interested in braving the night, you'll be in for a booking battle!
