Starbucks Employee Shows Us 'The Grossest Drink' He's Ever Seen In Wild Video

We don't always know where it came from, but I think it's fair to say that we all have an eating habit that others just can't understand.

For instance, my mom loves to mash everything on her plate together until it looks "barfy," but she was also in disbelief when I was excited to discover I could order a burger with pepperoni, peanut butter and sauerkraut on it at one local restaurant. It was delicious, by the way.

But while it's been hard to ignore how many struggles it seems that Starbucks employees have had in trying to fill their customers' overly complicated orders, one barista just can't get past how weird one order he recently received was.

In a video released on August 16, TikTok user @kenmixtape stated in no uncertain terms that he was making "the grossest drink that anyone has ever ordered."

And considering that it wouldn't even turn out to be a particularly complicated drink, that's quite an impressive feat on the customer's part.

And as he revealed the ingredients with a dramatic flair, he acknowledged that they didn't sound too out of the ordinary at first.

He poured a concoction of dragon fruit and mango into the cup first before mixing it with lemonade and topping it off the dragon fruit chunks you see here.

But the order became baffling to him when it was time to add the coffee part of the drink.

And that's because the customer apparently wanted to mix the sweet fruit juices with a shot of espresso.

As he confirmed in a follow-up video made after customers dared him to try the mixture, that's a combination that tasted as disgusting to him as it seemed.

And for the most part, it seemed his viewers agreed with some commenters saying they gagged when he added the espresso.

In one user's words, "It was fine until the espresso was added, like why." As another said, "Somebody is having a TOUGH morning."

But as Newsweek reported, the taste difference between the barista and his customer could be a cultural one as it's apparently more common to mix lemonade with coffee in some countries.

As one commenter said, "Here in Portugal, there's a drink that is freshly made lemonade with an espresso mixed in iced so I'm not sure I'm fully weirded out."

As they always say, there's no accounting for taste.
