7-Year-Old Dresses Up As Horror Icons Rather Than Disney Princesses

Kids love dressing up. While this usually means dressing up as a superhero or a princess, some kids are more outside-the-box with their thinking. Meat @kid_dreadful, a seven-year-old girl who dresses up as various horror icons. Her Instragram describes her as a "horror cosplayer and spooky enthusiast", and her costumes are truly chilling.

These costumes are on another level.

According to Bored Panda, @kid_dreadful's real name is Coral DeGraves, and she loves horror icons. Her mom, Cheyenne, helps her daughter with the spooky costumes.

Cheyenne said the obsession started when her daughter was a toddler and saw one of the Chucky films, Child's Play.

Her mom has no problem with it.

While most of the films she's paying homage to would be inappropriate for a seven-year-old, let alone a toddler, her mom says she sees no problem with her dressing up in these macabre outfits.

It takes time to nail these costumes.

"Depending on the cosplay, it can take anywhere from minutes to days to create," said Cheyenne. "For instance, The Crow cosplay took about fifteen minutes to put together, while Pinhead took roughly a combined 20 hours from start to finish."

The results speak for themselves.

We've all seen a lot of Joker cosplay over the past decade or so, but I think this is the first time I've seen a seven-year-old girl really inhabit the iconic look. Everything here is picture-perfect.

She pays tribute to horror icons, old and new.

I'm not sure if she's seen any of the Jason films, but this cosplay pretty much had to be done. Jason's iconic hockey mask is one of the most identifiable props in the whole genre.

Here's her take on the Jigsaw Killer.

This isn't one of the more involved cosplay attempts, but it's still an effective one. I know that the Saw films have been one of the more popular horror franchises of recent years, but I really hope no one's letting their seven-year-old watch them.

"We all float down here."

With the resurgence of Stephen King's It, it's the perfect time to dress up as Pennywise the Clown.

Parents who are reading this, we want to hear your thoughts. What do you think of the outfits? Would you want your kids to dress up like this?
