We Should Be Praising Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis' Approach To Honest Parenting

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have had their backs against the wall recently. Every time I turn around, it seems a new stone is being hurled at the couple for their "controversial" parenting techniques.

Well enough is enough. I'm here today to tell you that we shouldn't be shaming Ashton and Mila. In fact, we should be praising them for their open and honest approach to parenting.

Parenting is a touchy subject to bring up, that much we know for sure.

This is ten times true when it comes to celebrities because everyone has an opinion on what they think celebs should be doing when it comes to their children.

Enter, Asthon Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

First of all, Ashton and Mila are the opposite of helicopter parents.

It was recently revealed during an episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast that Mila and Ashton have an incredibly laid-back approach to bathing their children.

"If you can see the dirt on them, clean them," Ashton told Dax Shepard. "Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Both Ashton and Mila actually want their children to understand what poverty feels like.

Mila explained during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that both she and Ashton had to learn the hard way how much a dollar costs. They want their children to do the same — regardless of the privilege that their parents' celebrity affords them.

They aren't afraid to admit their mistakes.

Mila Kunis is the first to admit that there's no such thing as a perfect parent. She once told Babble a story of how she forgot to buckle her daughter into the car seat while driving on the highway.

“You have to pack all this stuff up in anticipation of everything going horribly wrong,” Mila said.

“And I was like, ‘I did it.’ I put her in the car. Like, I high-five myself. [As] I’m driving down the 101, I was like ‘Oh my God, I’m doing really good today.’”

"And I’m on the 101, and she’s just like blah, like fine in her car seat, nothing, no strap whatsoever. And I think I just turned white."

Most parents could never admit such a mistake to themselves — let alone the world.

Oh, and they aren't leaving any of their money to their children.

Ashton and Mila refuse to raise trust fund babies. Both have said that the only way their children will be getting any money from either of them is by presenting a business plan and convincing them to invest.

These tactics aren't controversial, they're crucial to a strong foundation!

But overall, people have a lot of opinions about Kutcher and Kunis' parenting, especially when it comes to their children's hygiene.

The internet, for the most part, seemed to think that they were definitely wrong for doing this!

But hey, I don't know these parents or their children, so I am not going to be here judging them.

But some people love to do just that.

Some people, however, simply do not care.

A lot of people are still just as obsessed with the couple, and it hasn't changed their views on the celebs at all.

Which, honestly, if the child isn't being harmed, then who cares?

Now, we want to hear from you.

Where do you stand on their parenting? Where do you stand on, in particular, how often they bathe their children?
