Coco Austin Defends Breastfeeding Her 5-Year-Old Daughter: 'Why Take That Away From Her'

It's no secret being a mom on social media is hard, let alone a public figure! No matter what you do as a parent, someone on the Internet has an opinion on it. Whether it's Emily Ratajkowski getting slammed online for how she holds her newborn, or Jessie James Decker defending her decision to get a post-baby boob job, there'll always be someone who disagrees with any parenting decision.

Now, Coco Austin is defending her decision to breastfeed her 5-year-old.

As fans know, Coco Austin is an actress, model, and internet personality. On top of her extensive resumé, Coco is also the wife of rapper and actor Ice-T. The pair, who tied the knot back in 2005, share a daughter, Chanel Nicole, born on November 28, 2015.

Since becoming a mom, Coco has dealt with her fair share of mommy-shammers.

As fans may recall, Coco took her daughter to get her ears pierced when she was just four months old.

Many followers were quick to comment on Instagram about how they felt about her decision.

"Disgusting piercing a baby's ears! Shame on you!" one comment read.

"omg! pierced ears-why?!" echoed another.

This was the first time Coco was thrown into controversy but as fans know, it was not the last.

Now, Coco is dealing with online trolls after admitting to still breastfeeding Chanel, 5.

While chatting with Us Weekly the blonde bombshell explained: “Chanel still likes my boobs. It’s a big bonding moment for a mother and your child."

Austin shares that although Chanel is happy to "eat steak and hamburgers," the child still "likes a little snack every now and then."

"Why take that away from her? … If Chanel doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it. But I’m not just going to say no boob," Coco revealed.

"She loves on it and it’s not like she’s getting milk from it, but she’s getting her little snack and it’s kind of soothing her to sleep,” she added.

"I don’t want to deprive her of something she wants just because society says you need to stop after two,"

Coco explained that she has gotten into many social media fights because of her beliefs, but the mom is unapologetic.

"I have one child and one child only and I’m gonna do the damn thing when it comes to her."

I love that attitude!
