Stay-at-home moms sometimes get a really bad rep in society. So many people think that staying home and raising children is like “having so much free time” and a day at the beach. Many spouses who work outside of the home tend to look down on stay-at-home parents because they feel it’s “easier” to be home.
But, being a stay-at-home parent is a lot of hard work and many parents who do it are here to prove it.

So are dads, but right now we are going to look at all the hard work that goes into being a stay-at-home mother.
One woman told her story, and we loved every second of it.
TikTok user @sierra_not_ciara posted a video that went viral proving that she has it harder than her BF.
The mother of two showcased a video of how much she has to do every day while her boyfriend is at work.
She says in the video that he thinks she does “nothing” all day while he’s gone working.
So, she decided to make a video to show it all.
She starts off by making her daughter dinner.
While she feeds her daughter and watches her, she also does the dishes at the same time.
Anyone with kids knows that mealtime is a huge hassle, so she is constantly going back and forth doing both at the same time.
I’m sure just about any mom out there knows how this feels. It can be very stressful trying to pull this all together.
The mom says bathing her daughter and washing her hair is a “battle.” But, not as much as getting her dressed afterward.
She says her daughter is picky so that also takes a lot of time out of her schedule.
But, she does it and then plays a bit with her after.
After this, she cleans her son’s diaper and bathes her daughter.
And as all moms know, not every baby likes to bathe, no matter how clean it ends up making them.
After getting her daughter changed and clean, she situates her son on a play mat or in a baby swing so she can have some free hands to do laundry.
But, this does not last very long because they both want her attention.
After her daughter goes to bed, she feeds her son and cleans the rest of the dining room up.
Cleaning up her daughter’s dinner mess is a big job, and then she also has to prepare her son for bed, too.
But, as all babies do, her son wants tons of attention which derails her cleaning process and prolongs it.
When the mom finally got to eat dinner, it was standing up.
She did eat a little bit of dinner, she said, but it was while she was holding her son the entire time and standing up.
However, she realized that her son totally pooped on her, so she then had to change and wash them both.
She closed on the video saying at the end of the day, she “usually asks her boyfriend what he wants for dinner.”
But, today was different.
Instead of texting her boyfriend asking what he wants for dinner, she decided to make herself a strong drink because it’s clearly been a day.
She called it a huge message to men who don’t appreciate their women.
Good for her!

After her son went to bed, she continued to clean.
She said her son passed out after his last bottle, so she went right back to cleaning.
She both swept and mopped the floor, and made sure the rest of the house was clean and tidy from both of her children.
She also continues to clean the kitchen, too.
Not only does she clean and sweep the living room area, but she also gets back into the kitchen to clean the floors in there too.
This is after she just had taken care of her kids all night and made sure they were fed and in bed.
So as you can see, this mom does MORE than enough to make sure that her children are getting everything they need from her, while also taking care of the house.
