Jennifer Aniston Opens Up About Her Relationship With Ex Brad Pitt: 'We're Buddies'

If you ask me, one should never be friends with their exes. Sure, there are exceptions, like if you share a child with your ex, but for the most part, there is nothing good that comes out of keeping an old flame burning.

I especially would not suggest staying friends with your ex if he cheated on you with Angelina Jolie, but hey, Hollywood is a whacky and wonderful place!

Before there was social media, the iced coffee craze of 2021 and iPhones, there was Brad and Jen.

Brad and Jen were the blonde bombshells of Hollywood. They were the definition of an "IT" couple. They were everything to so many of us, so when they broke up, it was tragic.

Of course, Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston for 5 years before the pair split and Brad was accused of cheating on the actress with Angelina Jolie.

At the time, the pair released the following statement: "We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate."

"For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any speculation reported by the tabloid media," the statement continued.

"This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another."

Still drives a knife through my heart to this day!

The SAG Awards back in January 2020 gave us this iconic moment that still looms large in many fans memories:

Now, Jennifer is opening up about her current relationship with the actor while chatting on Howard Stern's radio show.

As fans may recall, Brad and Jen briefly reunited during a zoom table read of *Fast Times at Ridgemont High* back in September.

The reunion was for Sean Penn's community relief nonprofit CORE, but also, it was for fans of this once iconic Hollywood couple.

Even their fellow cast members could not get over their palpable chemistry!

Maybe it was because the pair had to reenact the scene from the film where Jennifer's character catches Brad's character masturbating in the bathroom while fantasizing about her.

Essentially, the world stopped in this brief, precious moment in time — just look at Julia Roberts' face as she watched them flirt on Zoom.

The whole world was smiling along with you, Julia!

Recalling their table read while chatting with Howard Stern, Jen assured fans there was no awkwardness.

"It was absolutely fun. Brad and I are buddies, we're friends," she explained, as per People.

She continued:

"And we speak, and there's no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be."

"We had fun, and it was for a great cause, CORE," she added.

I'm so glad these two are still on good terms, and hey, with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez getting back together, who knows what's in store for 2021!
