Emily Ratajkowski Slams The Sexist Treatment Of Megan Fox's Character In 'This Is 40'

There's no denying many, many movies and TV shows have aged like milk, and while we expect that from films released before 2010, it's hard to believe some films released in the past 10 years could have also aged poorly.

Now, Emily Ratajkowski is calling out how Megan Fox's character was treated in Judd Apatow's cult classic film This Is 40.

Released in 2012, *This Is 40* stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann as a couple navigating married life and raising teens all while facing the crisis of turning 40.

The film is often referred to as a cult-classic with a dedicated following due to its relatable and hilarious subject matter.

However, Emily Ratajkowski has a serious bone to pick with the film.

The model reportedly told friend Amy Schumer that the Judd Apatow movie "is not aging well" during a conversation at the Tribeca Festival on Saturday.

According to *Page Six*, the model and actor said the movie was "hilarious and spot-on," but had an issue with the treatment of Megan Fox's character.

For those who need a refresh, Megan plays boutique employee Desi.

In the film, Desi accused of stealing money from the store in order to buy nice things before it's revealed she also works as an escort.

There are several moments in the movie where Desi is sexually objectified, including one scene where Leslie Mann's character feels and discusses Desi's breasts for an extended period of time.

"I recommend everybody who has a husband or wife and kids to watch [the movie, but] Megan Fox is treated in it so badly,” Emily reportedly said.

"Oooh, that movie is not aging well?" Amy asked in response.

"That movie is not aging well," Emily confirmed.
