Balenciaga Partnered Up With Crocs To Make Clogs With Stiletto Heels

The fashion world can be a mystery to those of us who travel outside it. Most of the world is happy to partake in simple comforts and styles, while the world of clothing design pushes boundaries and creates concepts we could never dream of.

Clearly, some are more bizarre than others, and this is perfectly encapsulated by the latest partnership between Balenciaga and Crocs.

Crocs have had quite the return in the past year, with the comfortable, colorful shoes entering the mainstream.

Not only are the standard version riding out a wave of popularity, but in the past, they've also taken part in a number of designer collaborations

In 2017, they teamed up with Balenciaga, who liked them so much they decided to do it again in their most recent runway debut.

Balenciaga's Spring 2022 collection, titled Clones, features two new versions of the standard Croc. There's a platform rainboot and a stiletto heel, both in green, grey, and black colorways.

In 2017, regarding the company's first foray into Crocs fashion, Balenciaga designer Demna Gvasalia told Vogue France "I wore Crocs this summer to see how I felt about them and they are the world’s comfiest shoes! [...] At the end of the day, fashion is all about having fun," so it's no shock he wished to work with them a second time.

So, what does this mean for the future of Crocs?

With alternative, designer Croc styles being so popular, there's no doubt that more are on their way, with this designer here already trying to get ahead of the curve.

However, most are still hung up on this debut.

However people choose to style these, I'm certainly looking forward to it, as is the rest of the fashion world, I'm sure of it.
