Woman's Hack Is A Lifesaver For Anyone Who Can't Sleep In A Hot Bed During Summer

Who here has a problem falling asleep in the heat of summer? I hear you. We are lucky enough to have AC, but I feel for those folks who do not.

If you happen to be in that situation or your AC clonks out, I have a perfect solution for you. Doing this will ensure that your bed is nice and cool.

Here's what you need to understand.

I don't know if you realize, but most people in the U.K. and other parts of Europe don't typically have air conditioning. The cost isn't justifiable for only a few weeks of hot weather.

Therefore, many people struggle sleeping through the night during scorching temperatures.

So this one lady was kind enough to share an awesome tip with her TikTok audience. And, I love that it's so simple and easy to do in a snap.

Here's what she suggests.

All you need is a bog-standard hot water bottle — but this time, you won't be filling it with hot water. Instead, fill it with half-cold water. Then, just put it in your freezer for the whole day.

About an hour before you go to sleep, take the water bottle out of the freezer.

Then, put on your bedsheets. You can even slide one inside your pillow cover so your pillow will stay cool as well.

How about that?

I can't believe I've never thought of doing something like that. It's pretty genius, no? And it makes total sense. Everybody falls asleep much faster when they feel cooler. That's pretty much a fact. Look it up, ha, ha!

It's no surprise that this video has since gone viral.

I bet all the people without AC really appreciate this hack. It must be such a relief to find something that really works. What a godsend, huh? I love this idea.

Here's a valid question somebody asked.

And yes, doing this might make your bed a bit damp. My suggestion is to wrap the water bottle in thin material to reduce the amount of condensation. Either way, I'm sure it will evaporate quite fast because of the heat anyway.

Also, you need to take this into account.

It's best to dedicate a special water bottle for this purpose. Once you do this, you won't be able to use it with hot water anymore. So you may want to stock up on a few hot water bottles.

Wow, I really feel for anyone who doesn't have AC.

Our power went out yesterday for about three hours, and it was hot. We were concerned about not being able to sleep, but thankfully it did come back on. Otherwise, I could've used this hack, ha, ha!
