We've all heard the phrase, "Fake it 'til you make it."
But an Instagram model may have taken things a little too far with a recent post.
Oceane El himer, who has over 800,000 followers on Insta, wanted to project an image of being part of the jet set.
But, as it turns out, she flies coach just like the rest of us.
El Himer wrote that she was flying to Monaco, accompanied by the photo seen below.
The photo shows her in first class, and it doesn't appear to be doctored in any way. But the truth came out soon enough.
Unfortunately for El Himer, one of her followers — or at least someone who's aware of her — was on the same flight. Twitter user @Enerveee posted this image, pointing out that she's totally flying coach, just like the rest of us unwashed masses.

There's a lesson here: even though it's easy to stop for a selfie in first class as you make your way to your actual seat, you probably shouldn't lie about it — especially when you have hundreds of thousands of followers.
Maybe you remember a few years back when rapper Bow Wow posted this, which heavily implied that he was taking a private jet to a press event in New York.
I mean, at least El Himer posed for a proper selfie to sell her story. Bow Wow just posted an exterior shot of a random private jet.
It feels like trendsetters on social media are more and more disconnected from the rest of society, and this story just goes to prove it.
