Three Cheers For The Older Moms Welcoming Children In Their 40s And 50s

Recently, there seems to be a trend in Hollywood with women getting pregnant and giving birth later in life. Gone are the days of shaming a woman for not having children in her twenties. Now, there's a new generation of mammas who are fighting back at the stigmas and welcoming beautiful, healthy babies into the world — no matter their age!

This past month, Hollywood has seen an influx of women in their 40s announcing their pregnancies.

Just this past week, "Ghost Whisper" star Jennifer Love Hewitt announced she was pregnant.

"This has been such a pleasant, beautiful, surprising gift in this time," the actress told People.

"Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel also recently announced she was expecting.

In an Instagram post in honor of her 40th birthday, the actress shared her excitement with fans:

"F O R T Y! I've never been more excited or hopeful for the next decade of my life."

She continued:

"I had a beautiful childhood, teenage years I still dream about, my 20's were insane (and mostly miserable) and my 30's brought me lows and highs but eventually I leveled out to a place of security."

"Security in who I am, what I believe, and with whom I want to spend precious time."

"I couldn't be more grateful to enter my 40's with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2. My birthday wish is for all of you to tell someone how much you love them and walk through today with more patience than you normally might."

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, 50, also just announced she has become a mother this month.

"A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."

Remember when Janet Jackson gave birth at age 50 back in 2017?

There is also Halle Berry, who gave birth at age 47! And Laura Linney, who was pregnant and welcomed her baby boy at age 49!

We love to see it!

It's clear age is just a number for these amazing mamas, and it should be a reminder to us all that it's never too late to become a mother!

People start their families at the time that is best for them.

We are so happy to see these moms thriving and living their best life!
