Denise Richards Says Social Media Is 'Not Healthy' For Kids: 'It's Very Challenging'

Denise Richards is one of the most iconic names, and faces, in Hollywood. While the actress has been thriving on The Bold and The Beautiful recently, she has also been thriving as a mom to three daughters, two of whom are teens.

Now, the 50-year-old is opening up about what social media means to her children, and how she tries to monitor their habits online.

Being a parent today is no easy task, especially if you've got teens on your hands!

Not only are you dealing with a hormonal gremlin, but you've also got to manage their social media habits! It's not like how it was back in the day, you know, with no internet, or a dial-up router.

Actress Denise Richards knows the joys of parenting teens all too well.

The actress is mom to three daughters — Sami, 17, Lola, 15, and Eloise, 9.

In a new interview with Parents.com the 50-year-old explained how she handles her daughter's social media consumption.

"I really do think it's not healthy for kids at all and there's a responsibility with it," she explained.

"When I get negative comments, there's times where even at my age it still hurts and it's hard. ... I'm still having those conversations, and they're endless, and it's very challenging."

Sitting down and having those chats with our kids is the most important thing we can do as parents in 2021!
