Proud Cat Owner Knits Their Cat A Quinceañera Dress For His 15th Birthday

Sure, cats have fur and have no need to wear clothes... but have you thought about how cute they would look if they tried?!

Filling up a very specific subsection of social media, you can spend hours scrolling through hilarious photos of fashionista cats, most of which look eternally unhappy to be there.

Boris receives a quinceañera dress in honor of his birthday.

Take Boris, for instance. Coming upon their cat's 15th birthday, reddit user Bloodshack thought Boris deserved an extra special birthday gift.

Knitting two simple rectangle shapes (one with two arm-holes and one without), Bloodshack gifted old Boris his very own quinceañera dress in honor of his special day.

The dress is a detachable skirt/shirt combo.

Made out of chunky pink acrylic and white Bernat blanket yarn, the dress separates into a top and bottom piece, leaving a separate sweater with buttons on the back for easy in-and-out. (Not that Boris looks too happy about the "in" part.)

Boris doesn't want to say he's not thankful but...

Looking a tad... underwhelmed with the thoughtful gift, Boris poses in pink and white glory for an impromptu photoshoot. Whether it's the dress or his birthday that's getting him down, poor Boris looks like he'd like nothing more than to have his quinceañera over asap.

Regardless, cat-owning knitters will keep trying to clothe their kitties.

Almost solely for the pet parent's amusement, cat clothing does a lot more for its giggling owner than it does for the cat.

Much more confident in their natural fur, cats have no need for fashion to feel like a boss. But does that mean we'll stop trying? Absolutely not. It's just too darn cute!
