Oprah Winfrey Reveals Which Interview Still Makes Her 'Cringe'

For decades, Oprah helped set the standard for daytime TV. She's one of the most respected hosts in the history of television and is renowned all over the world for her generous spirit and philanthropy.

But for all her many accolades, there are relics from her past that haunt her to this day. During a recent sitdown with Rob Lowe, Oprah revealed which interview still makes her cringe.

There are PLENTY of celebrity interviews that are just so awkward to watch.

One of the most famous ones being from Ellen's show, where she was interviewing Dakota Johnson.

The interview started with Ellen wishing Dakota a happy belated birthday.

"October 4th. You turned 30. And how was the party? I wasn’t invited," Ellen said.

And then, to make us all cringe, Dakota replied: "Actually, no. That’s not the truth, Ellen. You were invited,"

Just thinking about this moment makes my skin crawl.

Or, how about that time that Nicole Kidman gave the most awkward interview ever about her sex life?

On the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the interviewer decided to ask Nicole about the suggestive lyrics in Keith Urban's song "Gemini", as they assumed it was about her.

“No, what?! You’re making that up, Kyle. Shut up. I’m not answering that, that’s outrageous,” she responded.

Whether or not she thought it was funny or she felt embarrassed, we don't know, but we were definitely embarrassed FOR her.

The point is, awkward celebrity interviews happen all the time.

And more importantly, as much as it makes us want to disappear into the void due to secondhand embarrassment we LOVE to watch it.

Which brings us to Oprah.

Yes, not even Oprah, one of the biggest names (if not, THE biggest names) in the entertainment industry has had her fair share of awkward and cringe-filled interviews.

Recently, Oprah made a guest-appearance on Rob Lowe's *Literally!* podcast.

After Rob had exchanged pleasantries with the legendary talk show host, he began prying into Oprah's history.

Mainly, Rob wanted to know what question from which celebrity interview still haunted her.

Without batting an eye, Oprah replied “Oh, Burt Reynolds!”

Oprah explained that the actual interview was with Sally Fields; Burt Reynolds' co-star, and ex-lover.

“My big mistake: I asked her, ‘Does Burt sleep with his toupee on?'” That's right, in case you didn't know — Oprah is a straight savage.

She explained to Rob that her producers insisted that she ask the question — even though she felt uncomfortable.

Sally Field didn't take very kindly to the offensive question, either.

And instead of dignifying it with a response, she chose to remain as silent as the grave — on live TV no less!

Oprah admits that the question was completely out of line.

“It was like, ‘Whoa, Sally went cold on me on live TV,'” she said. “I deserved it, I deserved it, I deserved it, ’cause that is such an inappropriate question.”

Now, we want to hear from you.

What do you think, was Oprah acting inappropriately with her questioning?
