Mom On TikTok Saves Time Folding Her Kids' Laundry By Not Folding It At All

There is one household chore I particularly dislike. Can you guess what that is? I'm going to give you a hint: it involves folding clothes. Yes, it's doing the laundry.

I dread it every time. If only it was less time-consuming and a lot more enjoyable. Oh wait, there's a new way of doing it. Want to find out? Keep reading below.

So, unfortunately, laundry involves a step-by-step process.

First, you grab your clothes. Then, you sort them by color, of course. Next, you stuff everything into the washing machine, put the detergent in, and start it up. Okay, it's not too bad to start off.

But it doesn't stop there. The chore keeps going.

After the clothes get washed, you need to load them into the dryer. And then, when they're dry, guess what? There's more work. Now you have to fold them and hang them up.

By the time I even get to the folding part, I'm already exhausted.

I actually need a nap. But what if you just skipped folding altogether? That's exactly what this one mom shared on TikTok, and people literally lost their minds ha, ha!

Courtney, who goes the TikTok handle @playroominspo, gave this brilliant idea to her followers.

She simply stated that this was a way to "normalize not folding your kid's clothes," and it gave people a reason to tune in.

What she created here is a bin system.

She uses it to sort her kid's laundry, and she organized it by type of clothing. That's it. What do you think? It looks easy enough, huh? I think she's really on to something here.

The concept is simple.

All Courtney does is drop the clothes in their corresponding bins. There's no folding of any sort involved here. Doing it this way, you can finish the task in about four minutes. Wow! Doesn't that sound impressive to you?

TikTok users had a lot to say about Courtney's laundry technique.

There was praise, of course. Many of them love this idea altogether. And others applauded Courtney for taking her time back. Imagine what a time-saver it is doing it this way?

No viral video is without some criticism.

There were those that accused Courtney of just being lazy. I don't think that's the case, really. She seems like a very organized mom just trying to run her household more efficiently.

Get this she doesn't even pair her kids' socks.

What? Ha, ha, I kind of like that. I mean, as long as you throw them in the bin, they are bound to find each other. Am I right? I should start doing that too.

It seems that this no folding laundry technique has resonated with a lot of people.

After all, kids wear different clothes all day long and dirty them even quicker. So does it really matter if you fold them or not?

I honestly don't think so.

It's funny because some moms had to ask if they can actually do that. You do what feels right to you. Never mind what other people and other moms do. If this works for you, then why not?

I think it's about time we stop comparing ourselves to other people.

And while we're at it, let's stop making other moms feel like they're not good enough. If your house is perfectly clean all the time, I say good for you.

That doesn't have to be the case with everyone.

We all get busy, and things may fall through the cracks. I'm not here pretending that I'm always perfect, and I don't think you should do that too. Who's with me on this one?

Let me ask you a question: If you could save yourself about 10 minutes doing laundry, then would you?

Well, I think not folding the clothes could be the answer you're looking for, huh? But, let me know your take on this strategy. Is this idea for you, or do you prefer folding them?
