Trisha Yearwood Praises Hubby Garth Brooks As 'Wonderful' Caretaker Amid Her Battle With COVID-19

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are one of my favorite couples in Hollywood. Not only are they super sweet and super down-to-earth, but they're also super talented, too. I know, right? My husband and I can barely slow dance together, and these two are just a powerhouse couple making us all look bad.

Now, Trisha is giving us all another reason to be jealous of her hubby Garth Brooks, by revealing what a sweetheart he was to his wife when she was battling COVID-19 earlier this year.

As fans may recall, country superstar Trisha Yearwood contracted COVID-19 earlier this year.

In a statement to fans back in February, Garth said his wife had tested positive for the virus.

"The Queen and I have now tested twice," he shared with fans. "Officially, she’s diagnosed as ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now, though, which I’m extremely thankful for."

"Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together," he continued.

"And anyone who knows her knows she's a fighter and she's been doing everything right, so I know we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together."

Thankfully, Trisha has recovered and is now revealing to Kelly Clarkson just how helpful Garth was while she was battling COVID.

On her show, Kelly asked the country singer if she had her sense of smell or taste back yet.

"It’s been about eight weeks… it’s really weird, I think this is how normal people eat. They eat when they’re hungry, this is my theory, and then they stop when they’re full it’s weird," Trisha explained.

"It’s so much about taste and smell and if you can’t smell you don’t really [crave]."

"So now it’s all about texture, I can tell if something’s spicy… that’s about it. Lots of hot sauce."

As many fans know, Trisha loves to cook (and even had her own show on the Food Network for a while) but has had to lean on her hubby's tastebuds recently.

"I love to cook, so now when I cook I just ask Garth ‘tell me if it needs more salt and pepper.’ It’s the weirdest thing."

Kelly went on to mention how Garth tested negative for COVID-19 despite insisting he wanted to be by his wife’s side through the whole thing.

"He’s an alien and I think we’ve proved this," Trisha laughed. "He had the vaccine… not even a sore arm. I knew he wasn’t normal, he’s just an alien."

When asked how Brooks took care of her, Trisha gushed to viewers.

"He was really wonderful, he was really great."

"I was like ‘if you get it, I’m not going to sleep in the bed with you.’ I love you, but no,'" she laughed.

Ah, I love their love!
