Now, the actor is also using his Instagram to clear up rumors that nearly got him cancelled.

It was reported last week that the 74-year-old had joined the Mar-A-Lago beach club after recently moving to Palm Beach.

The Mar-A-Lago beach club has become known as a gathering spot for many supporters of former, twice impeached President, Donald Trump.

Many people took to social media to express their disappointment in the actor.

However, Sylvester is now shutting down the rumours that he ever joined the club on his Instagram account!

Posting a picture of the initial *Page Six* story, the actor wrote:

" I would like to say to everyone that this never happened. This is just not true. It NEVER ever happened..I mean no disrespect to anyone, I’m simply not a member .. So Keep Punching Folks."

"And unreliable 'source' Gave it to the New York post. It’s sad because it’s a complete and utter false hood," he added in a comment.

Many fans were relieved to see the iconic actor was not a part of the controversial beach club.
