Allison Janney Doesn't Regret Not Having Kids Or Getting Married: 'I'll Be Just Fine'

Honestly, marriage and kids aren't for everyone. They're not even for everyone who has them already — even those of us who love our family, and would never dream of a life without them, sometimes just feel like they're out to drive us crazy!

That's why when people realize that the family life isn't for them, they should be celebrated for the self-awareness — and maybe envied for the ability to sleep in past 9am on a weekend.

Allison Janney is a QUEEN.

She's fantastic in everything she's in, like Juno, West Wing, Mom, The Hours, Hairspray and I, Tonya, and she seems so hilarious and down to Earth too.

It might seem crazy that in her 61 years of life, she hasn't settled down with anyone, but when you hear it in her own words — it makes sense!

In a recent appearance on *The Drew Barrymore Show*, Allison revealed why she's never had a family.

Allison said it all boiled down to not finding the partner it would have felt RIGHT with.

"I think if I'd found the right guy at the right time and wanted to have kids, I probably would have with the right partner," Allison explained.

Allison explained if she was going to have regrets, she didn't want them to involve another person's life.

"Because I wasn't ever really confident that I wanted to have kids, and I would rather regret not having kids than have kids and regret it," she said.

That's really how it should be! No child should ever hear that their parent regrets them!

"I really am at this time in my life getting to know who I am and what I want," Allison went on.

I've always said that your 60's are the best time to figure yourself out!

"So I'd love to eventually find someone to share my life with, but if it doesn't happen, I think I'll be just fine," she added.

Allison is an Oscar-winning actress with an expansive career and is pretty much universally beloved, so I'd say she's right!

Do you agree with Allison's life assessment? Would you be fine being single in your 60s? Personally, I think she's an inspiration! Let us know how you feel in the comments section below!
