Fans Are Calling For Tina Turner To Be Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame As A Solo Act

There is no denying that Tina Turner is simply the best, not just to me, but to anyone who loves good music, which is everyone.

You know who else loves good music? The people in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is why it's shocking to learn Ms. Turner has not been inducted as a solo act, only as a duo with her abusive ex-husband and former music partner, Ike Turner.

Now, fans are calling for the songstress to inducted on her own, an honor she absolutely deserves.

As you may have heard, Tina Turner's newly released HBO documentary has struck a chard with fans.

Tina, released last month, gave fans an unprecedented look at the 81-year-old's life and career. The documentary also touched on Tina's PTSD following her abusive relationship with ex-husband and former music partner, Ike Turner.

In the documentary, Tina reflects: "It wasn’t a good life. The good did not balance the bad."

"I had an abusive life, there’s no other way to tell the story. It’s a reality. It’s a truth. That’s what you’ve got, so you have to accept it," she continued, as per The Mirror.

Now, fans are calling for Tina to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo act.

As fans may recall, Tina and Ike were inducted as a duo back in 1991. Of course, Tina went solo 7 years prior in 1984.

Now, fans want the legend to have her own honor, unattached to her abusive ex-husband.

Fans called the snub "ridiculous" on social media.

"It's ridiculous that Tina Turner is not already in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist," tweeted one fan.

" @rockhall #TinaTurner should’ve been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by mid 90’s At latest! Tina Turner was a phenom Rocker and conquered racial & sexual biases , & Domestic Violence legacy of Ike! Tina is in poor health; INDUCT HER 2021 WHILE ALIVE! See TINA @HBO !!" agreed another.

However, it seems fans can do something to right this wrong.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame president Greg Harris, told TMZ that her listeners can make their opinions known through a public "fan" vote.

Fans can vote for the top 5 among the Class of 2021 nominees, which, along with Tina, includes Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Foo Fighters, and Carole King. The top vote-getter among those 5 will win the official "fan vote."

Unfortunately, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame voting is notoriously secretive and TMZ reports the fan vote will be one of 1,000 votes from artists, historians, journalists, and members of the music industry.

We're rooting for you, Tina!
