Carrie Underwood Raised Almost $70K For 'Save The Children' With Charity Concert

One of the best parts about being famous has to be having the ability to give back to those who are less fortunate, especially if those people are children.

Musician Carrie Underwood seems to agree with this, given that she just raised almost $70k for Save The Children with an Easter Charity concert.

Carrie Underwood is one of the biggest names in country music right now.

You probably know her smash hits like "Before He Cheats," "Jesus, Take The Wheel," "Cowboy Casanova," "Church Bells," or maybe even from her recently released gospel album, My Savior.

In honor of the release of My Savior, Carrie decided to have a live-stream concert that raised money for a very good cause.

Livestreaming from Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Carrie put on a concert where all proceeds went to Save The Children.

Save The Children is a famous charity organization that raises money to help ensure that all children "have the right to grow up healthy, educated, and safe," that has helped change the lives of over 1 billion children worldwide.

Carrie's concert has raised $68,053 so far!

"It means so much to be able to bring this event to people in their homes on a day that holds so much meaning for us spiritually and to be able to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the incredible work of Save the Children as we celebrate the importance of family," Carrie said in a press release.

What an awesome gesture from Carrie!

The spirit of raising money for those less fortunate couldn't go better with the release of a gospel album, and we're sure that all the kids that will be helped by the funds raised would definitely agree with that!
