Emmy Award-winning actress Jessica Walter has passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 80, Deadline confirms.

Jessica's career spanned five decades in both film and television.
Jessica was best known for her work as Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development, but also received acclaim for her work in The Flamingo Kid, Trapper John M.D., Streets of San Fransisco, and Archer.
Jessica was renowned for her comedic ability as well as her dramatic acting skills.
Alongside her iconic voice that was immediately recognizable to many fans, Jessica was celebrated for her comedic timing and physical comedy choices for her Emmy-nominated performance in Arrested Development.
Jessica won an Emmy for her role on *Amy Prentiss* in 1975.
In her career, Jessica also earned two Golden Globe nominates, three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, and 6 Online Film And Television Association Awards with 3 wins.
Fans have taken to social media to share their condolences and tributes to the star.
Her statement continued:

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica," Jessica's daughter, Brooke Bowman confirmed in a statement.
"A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off."
Jessica was 80 years old.
Jessica is survived by her daughter and her grandson, Micah Haymann. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to Guiding Eyes For The Blind.
