All across the country, it's officially springtime with the flowers beginning to bloom and the sun beginning to shine. After what seems to be a cold, dark winter, many are looking to the spring to bring forth happiness, warmth, and good vibes.

UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh is well known for celebrating holidays and seasons by dressing up their newborns in adorable outfits and gear.
The newborn babies are dressed in handmade “chick” costumes, just in time for the Spring season and the upcoming Easter holiday.
Caitlin Pechin, a nurse at the hospital, hand stitched each of the chick outfits for the newborns in the hospital.
Each baby was gifted a chick hat and a matching “egg” swaddle to go along with it. And, the families of the babies absolutely love them!
“It's really important to bring some cheer to our families and to the staff, especially during this hard time we've been having during COVID,” Pechin shared.
“I think it’s really nice to see the babies dressed up in little chick outfits 'cause they’re little spring chicks. It’s just a good time of year to have a baby — it’s a time of renewal and a time for new things to happen,” she said.
All of the photos were taken in private rooms with the families, abiding by COVID-19 regulations from the hospital, they shared.
Commented flooded in admiring how "sweet" and adorable these little outfits were for the newborns.
One mom, who is due around the fourth of July, is hoping she will also receive a "themed" cut outfit, too. This hospital sure is creative!
