20 Rare Sights We're Glad Were Captured On Camera

There are some moments we hold close to our hearts that exist only in our memory. No photos or documentation, only what we can remember of it, though maybe a picture of it would have been nice.

The people on this list saw their opportunity to capture an unlikely sight and took it, sharing it with the rest of the world so we can all enjoy it.

"My mom and uncle found a USAF target drone on the beach."

Well, that's certainly not something you see every day! I thought they were deep-sea creatures, must have been sick if it was in shallow water.

'Australians having a beer in the pub during the ongoing floods."

Some people won't let anything get between them and a pint, but this seems a touch extreme.

"Australian flood waters meet the ocean."

Wait, this is the water the guys in the last pic are wading in? I'm now more concerned about their decisions.

"All white cars behind me [...]."

This is suddenly making me very insecure about owning a white car. I bought it used, I didn't pick the color, I promise!

"What it looks like when a hot water pipe bursts in frigid weather."

Does this count as a sauna or a snowstorm? This would either be great for your skin or turn you into an icicle.

"This is the Q-tip I used to clean my nose after my kitchen caught on fire."

There's something very unsettling about picturing that. All the more reason to not let my kitchen catch on fire.

"My planter froze overnight and broke into symmetrical rings."

For someone with some giant wrists, this is a cute new set of bracelets!

'My wife's pop tart pack had 3 in it."

What a perfect way to start your day and a surefire sign it's going to be good!

"After a heavy amount of rain this week our door mat started sprouting little shoots."

Might as well keep letting it grow, you can get one of those cute moss mats for way less work.

"A conga line of 28 furry caterpillars I saw this morning."

Sounds like a party to me!

I'd say join them but someone pointed out that they're processionary caterpillars — which can cause burns on human skin — so maybe don't.

"[...] synchronised swans in my local park."

And a group of seagulls that wish they could be as graceful as these here swans.

"Had a rainy night, this morning I saw a worm playing snake."

He's off to a great start, but it's going to take him a long while to beat it.

"This pigeon wearing a bread necklace."

And looking fabulous while doing it, thank you very much.

"The Zoobooks on wolves I saved from my childhood (1989) has nearly identical pages to my son's magazine (2019)."

They already did the graphic design once, no point in doing it again!

"My vacuum cleaner managed to lift a broken chair leg and shut itself off."

This seems like a cry for help. Give your vacuum more time off, or shorter shifts.

"There were (literally) whole grains in my son’s Cheerios."

This is probably one of the better things to randomly find in your cereal. At least you know they're not lying about the whole grains thing!

"A dust devil in front of Chichén Itza."

I know dust devils aren't particularly dangerous, but it's still funny seeing how chill everyone is.

"My local Walmart is still selling the iPhone 6."

As someone who's still rocking a Samsung S7, some of us just like older models. They're still solid!

"Squirrel on my back deck riding a horse."

Squirrels are allowed a bit of leisure time, too! He's been working hard hunting for all the nuts he hid last fall.

"This snail with a broken shell and a new shell growing inside."

I spent my entire life until now really thinking that snails found new shells like hermit crabs. Never considered that they grew them.

Wait, do hermit crabs grow their shells too? No, right?
