Evan Peters Will Play Jeffrey Dahmer In Upcoming Netflix Series

When a movie about a notable figure is in the works, people often have a lot of opinions about who is playing the lead character.

Netflix is developing another true-crime series, this time based on the life and crimes of serial killer Jeffrey Dhamer, which will star Evan Peters in the titular role.

Actor Evan Peters is best known for his multiple roles in the FX series *American Horror Story.*

Now, the 34-year-old is teaming up with AHS's producer Ryan Murphy for another project — a Jeffrey Dahmer limited series on Netflix.

The show, titled Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story will also star Richard Jenkins, Niecy Nash and Penelope Ann Miller, as per Deadline.

Jeffrey Dahmer is one of the most notorious serial killers in American history.

He sexually assaulted, murdered, and dismembered at least 17 men and boys in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, between 1978 and 1991.

When he was finally arrested, the extent of his crimes, which included cannibalism and necrophilia, shocked the public and made international news.

Dahmer was eventually charged with 17 murders.

In 1992, he was convicted of 16 of the murders and sentenced to 16 life sentences in prison.

On Nov. 28, 1994, the murderer was bludgeoned to death by a fellow inmate at Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin at the age of 34.

This is not the first time the serial killer's story has been imagined for the screen.

In 2017, Ross Lynch portrayed the cannibal in the horror film, My Friend Dahmer.

Deadline reports that Monster’s approach to Dahmer's murders is psychological, and will focus on how the attacks were allowed to happen for more than a decade.
