'The Big Bang Theory' Star Mayim Bialik Got Honest About The Pressure Of Hosting 'Jeopardy!'

There's always going to be a certain pressure on anyone standing behind the podium on Jeopardy! Alex Trebek was an icon both on and off the screen, and after his tragic passing last year, trying to find someone who can comfortably fill his shoes is definitely going to be difficult.

Temporary guest host Mayim Bialik has opened up about feeling this pressure just from herself.

After Alex Trebek's passing, *Jeopardy!* has been giving guest hosts the opportunity to shine.

Thee list of stars who have already or are on the list to host for a week or two includes Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, Anderson Cooper, Dr. Oz, Aaron Rodgers, and Mayim Bialik, who just began filming for the episodes that she'll be hosting.

"I've been an answer, I think two or three times, which is crazy."

"I've been saying it's really one of the most iconic things I think that I'm ever going to do in my career. It's going to feel like Forrest Gump, like I've been inserted into the ‘Jeopardy!’ set," Mayim revealed in a new interview.

Mayim said there is "a lot of responsibility" in the work.

"The idea is not to bring my personality to Jeopardy!, it's to provide a service as the host for those episodes to the best of my ability," Mayim went on to say.

Of course, it must be hard not to compare yourself to the absolute legend who came before you!

"I think also there's a lot of iconic pressure," Mayim said.

"When I was looking over some of the scripts, I was thinking, how would Alex [Trebek] say this? And that's probably not who I'm expected to be, Alex Trebek, but in my head, I am Alex Trebek — that's who I want to be," she said.

I totally get that — after all, he did the job for decades! It's impossible to not try to emulate him!

"It's funny, because there are different kinds of smart. *Jeopardy!* smart is a category that I'm not really,"

"I have a specific group of knowledge that I can handle, but I think every single time, if I was a contestant, I would forget to phrase the answer as a question."

I think Mayim is going to do amazingly!
