Hair Salon Shares 'Sad' Viral Post After Client Leaves Halfway Through Her Appointment

Although they work for major names and companies, many times are self-employed and live off their own tips. That's why many people tip their hairdressers so well.
One woman, however, must have missed this memo.

A hair salon in the U.K. penned a viral Facebook post after witnessing a rude and shocking act by a customer in their hair salon.
No 23 Hair and Beauty Studio posted the horrifying story online.

"Today we have had a first in our 4 years as a hair salon. A lady who booked under the name 'Helen Lee' came in for her appointment for a Full Head Tint and Foils," the salon wrote.
The woman wanted to grab some food while she was waiting for the color to set.

"During the development time, after we had applied the tint and foils, she decided to leave saying she was just popping to the shop opposite for some food and would come straight back," they continued.
They didn't think twice about it.

"As we are not in the business of expecting our clients to be dishonest we thought nothing of it," they added to the post.
However, the woman never came back.
"Sadly she did not return and then proceeded to ignore our calls. When phoned off another mobile she then claimed to be [a] different person," they said.
The salon said they shared the story to warn others.

"It really saddens us at No 23 that someone would think this behavior is acceptable. Our stylists are self-employed and when someone receives a service from them they deserve to be paid for it. Incidents like this have a big impact on small independent businesses like ours," they wrote.
But, they also hoped the woman would step forward.

"We have decided to share this story in the hope that she may read this and decide to contact us to explain her actions," they continued.
They said they would be understanding if there had been an emergency.

"Maybe there was an emergency or some other reason for her leaving and if so we are sure we will understand. If not then we would like to warn any of the other lovely salons in Plymouth to watch out for this lady," they said.
Another hairstylist said this situation also happened to them.
Other stylists said that it has happened to them in the past and that "some people have no shame."
Many couldn't believe what they were reading.
A lot of people commented in complete and utter awe that someone would have the gall to walk out of the salon with the foils still in, and not even pay.
Others wanted names.
Some people said the salon should give the name of the woman out so that everyone could know.
A commenter said it's theft.
If you think about it, they did steal product and time from the salon, so it definitely is no different than shoplifting from a store.
Many were hoping someone would turn her in.
The salon put out the Facebook message hoping someone would have know who this was, or even in the hopes the person themselves would come forward and let them know the truth.
Can you even believe someone would do this?!
