10+ Times Interviewers Asked Female Celebs Questions That Were Not Okay

From gender pay gaps to stereotypes to objectification, it's not easy being a female in Hollywood.

Add in the pressure to look a certain way and excruciating interviews and these women should be applauded for enduring it.

The latter is what we're talking about today. Here are 10+ times interviewers asked female celebs questions that were NOT okay.

1. When an interviewer asked Ariana Grande if her feet smelled.

Um, what? Way to make someone feel uncomfortable.

In this day and age, a question like this is rather sexualized due to foot fetishes. Thankfully, Ari handled it well by defending herself.

2. When an interviewer asked Lauren Conrad what her favorite position is.

Asking anyone unwarranted questions about their sex life is never okay. Sadly, this happened to the former reality star whie she was live on air.

When asked "what's your favorite position?" she replied perfectly with "CEO." Go, girl!

3. When this interviewer asked Rihanna what she's looking for in a man.

The singer got this question at her Rogue Fragrance Reveal.

Instead of listing off items on her checklist, she gave the most epic response by saying, "I'm not looking for a man. Let's start there."

4. When this interviewer assumed that Mayim Bialik wouldn't know calculus.

"How many people think that you can solve calculus at the drop of the hat?" the interviewer asked the Big Bang Theory star at the SAG awards.

He clearly had no idea that she's a neuroscientist in real life.

"Um," she began, looking dumbfounded by the interviewer's lack of preparation. "I actually was trained in calculus for several years. Yeah, I'm a neuroscientist."

Awkward!

5. When this interviewer asked Serena Williams why she wasn't smiling.

She should have let her many trophies answer for her!

Instead, she said, "To be perfectly honest with you, I don't want to be here. I have to wake up early to practice." We love an honest queen!

6. When an interviewer kept asking Beyoncé if she wants kids.

You'll see Queen Bey get progressively more annoyed the more this interviewer presses on the delicate subject.

She clearly wanted to talk about things besides her reproduction system.

7. When Joan Rivers asked Oprah Winfrey how she gained her weight.

Yikes! This is a reminder of just how controversial the late Joan Rivers was.

Oprah's yoyoing weight has been a known topic for decades, but it doesn't mean you should speak on it. The media mogul replied with, "I ate a lot."

8. When an interviewer questioned Nicki Minaj's anatomy.

They dared to ask the queen of rap about the rumor that she doesn't have a penis or a vagina.

They got their karma, though, when Nicki chewed them out for being so unprepared for her interview.

9. When this interviewer asked Scarlett Johansson whether she wears underwear underneath her Marvel suit.

"What's going on?" Scarlett said, clearly annoyed.

"You're like the fifth person to ask me that question. Since when did people start asking each other in this industry about their underwear?"

10. When this interviewer asked Britney Spears about her breasts.

Ever since the documentary, Framing Britney Spears, came out, fans have had an inside look to some of the horrors Britney has endured.

Sadly, being objectified is one of them.

11. When an interviewer kept asking Anne Hathaway about her form-fitting Catsuit.

The same reporter that bugged Scarlett Johansson with the underwear question asked Anne intrusive questions about her Catwoman costume.

After a while, she had enough.

"Are you trying to lose weight? Like, what's the deal, man? You look great," she asked him.

She ended up making it very clear that his comments weren't appreciated.

Let's hope he quit his day job.

12. When Tom Bergeron asked Simone Biles why she wasn't smiling.

Like Serena Williams, the Olympic gymnast had an epic response while being questioned about this on Dancing with the Stars.

"Smiling doesn't win you gold medals," she said. How epic of a response is that?!

13. When Howard Stern asked Mariah Carey why she didn't flash him during her performance.

They don't call him a shock jock for nothing.

The longtime radio host often crosses the line, but that still does NOT make it okay.

14. When Megyn Kelly asked Jane Fonda about her plastic surgery.

This led the Grace & Frankie actor to look appalled and try to awkwardly steer the attention back to the topic at hand: her movie.

Later, in an interview with *ET Canada*, Jane shared how embarrassed she felt.

She said that she was shocked by the question since they didn't have a lot of time and she had her co-star, Robert Redford, beside her.

15. When this interviewer said that Taylor Swift was going home with lots of men.

She was one insult away from Taylor writing an angry song about her! Thankfully, Tay handled it with class, by saying that she's going home to her cats.

16. When this interviewer asked Ariana Grande whether she'd rather go without her makeup or her phone.

Ari's face here says it all.

Instead of giving the dumb question a response, she did the right thing by refusing to answer at all.
