15+ Little Surprises That People Were Hiding In Plain Sight

There's no denying that most of humanity enjoys receiving gifts. Birthdays, other holidays, random surprises, whatever it may be, being surprised in a nice way is always welcome.

But did you consider that the world gives us gifts every single day? Tiny hidden moments meant to relate us when we discover them, like the finds in this list of little surprises that people were hiding in plain sight.

"A circuit board going to space (made by SpaceX)."

Okay, this one is not so 'in plain sight', but it's still neat. Here's hoping any aliens that find it can read English.

"[Just] found this hidden in my Straw Hat."

The trick is to hide your customer insults so they won't see it until after they've purchased what you're selling.

"This snow croc in my neighborhood."

At least you hope it's a snow croc, lest an albino predator managed to saunter its way in!

"This framed bicycle pump near a train station."

Bike rack/pump duo? That's a grade-A combo right there!

"This 4-Eared Squirrel That Lives in my Backyard."

This guy can hear the dropping of a peanut from miles away. No birdfeeder is safe.

"My hotel room’s bathroom mirror has a digital clock embedded in it."

So you know exactly how late you're running while you try to blow-dry your hair with the dryer that's installed into the wall.

"This [roof's] shingles are solar panels!"

Another 2-in-1 combination that just seems smart! This is something I'd love to see become more common.

"Rock cut in half with the figures inside at local park."

Hard to see, but the uploader said their town used to be a coal-mining town, so the figure is a man with a minecart. This rock is probably less precarious than the mines were back in the day!

"Our work polos have pen pockets on the sleeves."

This is certainly convenient and handy, but looking at this, I can only think of those stereotypical nerds in cartoons with pocket protectors and the like.

"Hummingbird nest on our outside light string!"

With a nest smaller than a lightbulb, blink and you'll miss it!

"Crack in store tile looks like a seal."

It's like those people who see faces in the floor, but instead, you're being haunted by the ghosts of an aquarium.

"Under the label of my naked bar."

I hope the package designer's mom bought one too, otherwise this was all for nothing!

"These potholes revealed the old cobblestones beneath the asphalt."

Can we bring back cobblestone streets? Yes, they're uneven, hard to clean, hard to maintain, and hard to repair but...they're so much prettier!

"This care instruction card that came with my knife."

Whether you like it or not, every knife is intended for mortal combat if there's an emergency at hand.

"This little painting at a construction site."

It'll take him a lot longer to finish painting, but damned if he's not a hard worker.

"There's a peninsula in Poland named Hel. The bus line that drives to it is 666."

Finally, a good reason to say, "Someone saw the opportunity and took it."

"This snow on a stump looks like a marble bust."

Looks like someone accidentally left their classical art piece there. Happens to me all the time.

"The wine I ordered online came with a tiny set of dice packaged inside a hollow cork."

The uploader said the wine also came with a small Yahtzee scorecard and pencil, which is so cute! A game night to pair with your drink, perfect.

"This morse code message on the tag of my new hat."

Thanks to some commenters that are far less lazy than I am, the morse code reads, "NTS Authentic GTI." If you want to parse out those acronyms, go for it, but just 'authentic' is good enough for me.

"I noticed something different about this climbing hold. I checked the rest, and he was the only one."

I can't tell how he feels about being a hold. Is that pain? Joy? Sorrow? Actually, maybe it's better not to know.
