Hilarious Mom Takes Solo Trip To Disney World To Celebrate Her Kid's First Day Of School

Every parent celebrates the start of the school year in their own, unique way. What's better to parents than having your kids get out of your hair after a long summer break?

While some kids dread going back to school, parents count down the days.

Knowing your child will be accounted for five-six hours a day, five days a week — it's absolute bliss.

So, what's the best way to celebrate your kids going back to school?

Some moms pop open some bottles of wine, other moms take themselves out shopping to celebrate.

However, one mom decided that the best way to celebrate the start of the school year was to take herself on a solo trip to Disney World.

The Castle Run

Lisa DiNoto, Florida native and mom, chose to spend the entire day at Disney's Magic Kingdom to celebrate her freedom. She documented her whole day on her blog, The Castle Run.

Lisa said that the first thing you do is get yourself a celebratory pin.

“This is what you do after you drop your kids off on the first day of school. You get yourself a pin and you walk it around Magic Kingdom like some garden gnome on a world adventure.”

Lisa, who appeared on “Good Morning America” said that it was a no-brainer to go Disney.

Lisa is so used to going to Disney with her kids and family, it was time for her to go by herself.

She decided to go around Main Street U.S.A to have everyone hold the pin and take photos.

“After I grabbed the pin, I saw some of the Citizens of Main Street U.S.A. out and about and had the idea to have them hold the pin. They got such a kick out of it that I just kept going.”

She also said that people are going to look at you with envy.

"People are going to start stopping you and telling you that you are life goals. They will often be saddled with strollers and lots of tired children. Be gracious. Comfort them. Wish them a magical day…. and try not to skip away."

While she was there, she met tons of people and saw tons of places.

She said that everyone loved her idea and all the people she took photos of had huge smiles on their faces.

And, while Lisa had a wonderful day away from her kids, she did say that it was a bit limited.

The Castle Run

Let's face it — Florida is hot, especially in August. She said that the fun was great while it lasted but eventually, she had to go home to escape the heat.

Everyone commented on her blog saying how incredible this idea was.

One mom said: "LOVE THIS!!! My mama said this years ago "I NEED TIME FOR ME OR I CAN'T BE THERE FOR YOU!"

Another added: "Oh my word, the best thing ever!!! You are a total rockstar!!"

The next time you've got some time to yourself — do something you don't usually get to do alone.

Alone time is so rare when you're a mom — why not do things you usually have to do with your entire family and cherish it solo?!
